Our 7 month old pup Billy-Bones has some severe separation anxiety! Tips and tricks on how to reduce stress for him in situations where he needs to be left. TIA π«ΆπΌ
I started leaving Alfie early on and often, building up the time over a while. I leave classical/talk radio on for him and a high value long lasting chew. So far this has worked for him and I've not heard him cry (he may cry, but i'm not there..) and when I come home (never left him for more than 4.5hrs) he's either sleeping or has heard the lift and is standing at the door. One thing that has definitely helped, is I never say bye or hello. Zero fuss. This has helped enormously! Good luck - Billy is gorgeous!
