I'm on my 3rd whippet. The first I met when she was about 2 - barked a handful of times in our 12 years together. She was the chillest and a little shy.

My second is now 7 (got as a puppy) and rarely barks. She's a little wild child who zooms around and jumps on people but doesn't bark

We just brought home a 6yo retired show dog this week and she's super sweet and snuggly. Took to us very quickly and is very relaxed and chill. And she's a barker. She did it the other day and calmed down pretty quickly. But today people arrived and she went crazy She's clearly nervous and adjusting and it's pretty cute. We don't mind it; it's just very new to us.
