Scene 4
[Int. Police interrogation room, day.]
Unknown (voice): After being taken in, Ron sits in an interrogation room with the mystery man looking for answers.
A knock at the door.
Ron: Yes?
DNA Analyst: Ron we took the prints off the letters, no luck sir. Peter’s and Kristine’s are the only prints found on the letters. Along with the mailman’s that delivered them.
Ron: (disappointed) You have got to be kidding me! This person was steps ahead of Peter.
Ron directs his attention to the mystery man.
Ron: (confused) How did you do it?
Mystery man: I told you before, I will not tell.
The analyst whispers into Ron’s ear.
Ron: I will be back in a minute.
Ron leaves the room and reads a paper given to him. He then returns to the room.
Ron: So Jerry Olivin.
Jerry: (shouts) HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND OUT MY NAME?
Ron: Remember you are dealing with cops. There are ways to get information even out of those who won’t talk.
Jerry: Good luck getting anything else.
Ron: Oh I’m sure I will be able to find out more about you now that I have a name.
Jerry: (snares) HIGHLY DOUBT IT!
Ron: Don’t underestimate me. Jerry just talk to us already. If you tell us what we want to know, the less it will be on you. We already can arrest you for assault and attempted murder.
Jerry: How many more times will I have to tell you that I will NOT talk. You have nothing and will get nothing, don’t you get it you pig?
Ron: (calmly) What will it take to make you talk? Huh?
Jerry: Nothing you or anyone in this building can do.
Ron: You have been playing a sick game of hurting people all for two people to break up. There is no reason for that. Their family and friends have gotten injured, almost killed because of warning letters.
Jerry: Everything happens for a reason.
Ron: (yells) YOU BETTER START TALKING!
Jerry: Or what? If you throw this chance away then you are back with nothing.
Ron: You are one sick son…
Jerry: (smirks) Be careful what you say.
Ron: You think this is funny?
Jerry: (laughs) Yes I do actually. Watching you try and figure this out is funny as hell.
The analyst returns with more paperwork. Ron reads through it quickly.
Jerry: You think my file will tell you something?
Ron: You would be surprised what we can get out of you.
Jerry: Nothing in that file will tell you anything about this. I guarantee it.
Ron: What makes you say that?
Jerry: You just got to know people.
Ron mutters to himself.
Jerry: Told you.
Ron: How? Nothing about you at all this is some mistake or something.
Jerry: I told you so.
Ron: (yells) TALK NOW!
Jerry: All I can say, you have been warned.
Ron: I’m done here.
Ron takes Jerry away.
Scene 5
[Int. Police cells, day.]
Unknown (voice): The next day Ron gives Peter and Kristine were given a few minutes to speak to Jerry.
Peter: (angry) So you have been doing this to Kristine and me.
Kristine: I don’t recognize him, do you?
Peter: No. He looks too old to go to school with us.
Kristine: He looks like he is 25.
Peter: Who knows? So why did you do it?
Jerry says nothing.
Kristine: (yells) WHY?
Jerry laughs.
Peter: This is all a joke to you? My mother and her best friend got seriously injured because of you. Then you tried to take out my best friend. All this just to make me and Kristine break up.
Jerry: You didn’t take the warnings did you? Did you think they were a joke?
Kristine: (yells) NO!
Peter: It makes no sense as to why someone wants us broken up. What did we do to you to make you want to do this?
Jerry points to Kristine.
Kristine: Me? What about me?
Jerry says nothing.
Peter: (frustrated) Start giving us some answers already.
Jerry: I will not tell. I have said it many of times already.
Kristine: (yells) WHY THOUGH? What is stopping you from telling us why you did what you did?
Jerry points to Peter.
Peter: Is it because of me?
Jerry points to Kristine.
Kristine: This pointing stuff isn’t helping.
Jerry: I know. I told you I won’t tell you what you want to know.
Kristine: What will take for you to tell us what we want to know?
Jerry laughs.
Jerry: Probably a lot from you.
Kristine: What do you mean?
Jerry: It will take a lot from you to get me to talk.
Peter: (angry) You are sick. You know that.
Jerry: I wasn’t thinking like that. You seemed to be.
Peter: I think you got it the wrong way. I was thinking pain from her.
Jerry: (laughs) Please, one finger on me and it’s over for the both of you.
Kristine: Ugh. It seems it is no use. He doesn’t want to tell us why.
Peter: Hold on one second. So what would have happened if we did what you asked in the beginning?
Jerry: We wouldn’t be here right now.
Peter: How did you know we got together?
Jerry: I know a lot.
Kristine: But we never saw you around before.
Jerry: How do you know that? Everyone sees a bunch of different people a day so just because you never saw me, doesn’t mean I was never around.
Peter: Okay, another question, where did we go on our first date?
Jerry: You seriously want me to answer that?
Peter: Yes.
Jerry: I refuse.
Peter: Why? If you say you know a lot then you should be able to tell me where me and Kristine went on our first date.
Jerry: I will not talk anymore.
Kristine: (yells) COME ON! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Jerry: Ron, please take them away.
Ron: Why not answer this one question? Do you not know?
Jerry: Oh I know. I just don’t need to talk. I have the right to remain silent, remember?
Ron: Crap.
Peter: (yells) TALK ALREADY!
Ron: It’s no use. I tried to get him to talk but he wouldn’t.
Jerry: That’s right. Now leave.
Ron escorts Peter and Kristine out.
Peter: (yells) YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!
Kristine: (shouts) YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE!
Jerry: You should have heeded the warnings.
What Can We Do?
Scene 1
[Int. Peter’s house, night.]
Unknown (voice): The next night Stanley, Peter, and his family were discussing what had happened.
Jill: So you got to see this person?
Peter: Yeah. He looks weird, strange, and just ugly.
Stanley: He doesn’t look familiar at all does he?
Peter: No not at all. He looks too old to be in school with us.
Stanley: Probably a college kid. Although remember I look older than I am.
Peter: True, but still how come we haven’t seen this person before?
Paul: He probably is one of those people who hide and is in the background.
Peter: Could be, but either way usually when you see a face and something stands out, you remember it down the road.
Paul: So he hasn’t been visible then.
Peter: Well I got a name, Jerry Olivin. I looked through our classmates and he doesn’t show up.
Matt: Facebook? MySpace?
Peter: Neither one. Not even his file down at the police station has anything, only a name. No criminal history or any history.
Jill: (confused) There is no way. Unless you are not born there is something on record besides name.
Peter: Apparently he somehow erased himself from the record books. Nothing was obtained from his file, we were lucky to get a name out of him.
Matt: That doesn’t help really.
Peter: I couldn’t even find relatives that were possibly in school with us or anything. I couldn’t even find anyone else with that same last name in the United States.
Paul: (thinking) Maybe he changed his name or something.
Peter: Anything is possible definitely. I wish we knew what it was though.
Jill: You should be happy that the person who has been messing with you is finally locked up and can’t hurt anyone else.
Peter: It just seems weird though. He didn’t mention anything about the attacks only warnings.
Matt: (confused) Really?
Peter: Yeah. Not only that I asked him where me and Kristine went on our first date and he refused to even answer that question.
Paul: Strange, maybe he is hiding something.
Peter: I hope not. It is bad enough that we had to find the person doing all the harm, but now something might not be adding up. What can we do to figure this out?
Jill: I am not sure, but I think for now it is best not to think about it. Everything seems to have quieted down so I think the problems are ending.
Peter: I hope so.
Jill: Everything will be fine Pete, trust me.
Paul: No one else should be getting hurt, so that takes care of a lot.
Matt: He can’t get to you or Kristine.
Stanley: You can rest easy now.
Peter: You’re all right, now I hope everything goes back to normal again. This really has been hell on earth trying to figure this out. I owe you big time Stan for finally getting him.
Stanley: I even got to torture him for you, that was the fun part.
Peter: Yeah exactly, alright let’s all eat, I’m starving.
Peter and the rest go out to go to a restaurant.
Scene 2
[Int. Kristine’s room, night.]
Unknown (voice): Meanwhile at Kristine’s house, Kristine and ÉtaÃn are talking about the same events that occurred.
Kristine: ÉtaÃn, it seems the troubles are over, the guy is in jail.
ÉtaÃn: Really? That was fast.
Kristine: It was a pain trying to get this person. He was REALLY UGLY!
ÉtaÃn: (wondering) Do we know who this person is? Like have we seen him before?
Kristine: No that is the odd part. I haven’t seen him in school or anywhere.
ÉtaÃn: What is his name?
Kristine: Jerry Olivin. O-l-i-v-i-n.
ÉtaÃn: Let me look on my phone real fast. Maybe I can find him somewhere.
ÉtaÃn quickly searches the name. No results.
ÉtaÃn: No results for that name. Nothing on Facebook, how is that possible?
Kristine: Wait what? Nothing? (shouts) NO WAY! THAT CAN’T BE!
ÉtaÃn: Kristy, calm down. There are ways to find out more about this person than Facebook. Let me try Google. Maybe it can tell us relative names or something.
Kristine: I don’t think so. I know most sites want you to pay for that kind of information.
ÉtaÃn: But then again, we can get some names to search that can be related.
Kristine: I really want to see that.
ÉtaÃn: Well here is something interesting.
Kristine: What? Something good I hope.
ÉtaÃn: It says here that the name Olivin doesn’t show up. It says did you mean Olivine but not Olivin.
Kristine: What? NO ONE? That can’t be right.
ÉtaÃn: Take a look, nothing on Olivin.
Kristine: This doesn’t help at all. So we have someone with nothing else. Just a name won’t get us far.
ÉtaÃn: At least the sicko is caught and now we can all go back to the way things were before.
Kristine: But we still don’t know anything about this whole thing. Like why did he do it, how did he know us, or how did he know how to get to us? Nothing is adding up anymore.
ÉtaÃn: Relax, in time we will find this out. We just have to wait for it in court or if that officer can tell us anything when he finds out.
Kristine: I do hope so, even though we got the person I still am worried.
ÉtaÃn: About?
Kristine: If we don’t get anything else that proves he did it, we have nothing. He can walk free again and possibly get us.
ÉtaÃn: Now I think you are thinking way too far ahead with this. There is already the evidence of Stanley getting attacked by him.
Kristine: But the prints from the letters don’t show up, or prints from Peter’s moms clothes.
ÉtaÃn: He probably is like a master or something at this. Or watched too many videos.
Kristine: I pray not. I want to see this person fry for what he did.
ÉtaÃn: We will see it, don’t worry.
Kristine: (worried) I really do hope for that.
ÉtaÃn: Come on, let’s go out and celebrate this. He is in jail and can’t get to anyone anymore.
ÉtaÃn and Kristine leave.
