Scene 4

[Ext. Outside Kristine’s house late afternoon.]

Unknown (voice): Later on that day Peter managed to get his way to Kristine’s house to meet her parents. He sees her and her parents outside.

Peter: (smiling) Hey Kristine!

Kristine sees and walks up to Peter and gives him a hug.

Kristine: How did you get here?

Peter: (laughing) I have ways.

Kristine: You didn’t have to come here, I was about to finish getting ready to go to your house to get you.

Peter: Remember how you told me about your parents?

Kristine: Yeah. They asked me about you, but they didn’t think you would show up here.

Peter: (smiling) That makes me different from others. I am willing to meet them if I get their respect. Kristine and Peter walk up to her parents.

Kristine: Mom and dad, this is Peter. He is going with me tonight to the park.

Peter: Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Delilah. (shakes both of their hands)

Mr. Delilah: Please have a seat. Make yourself comfortable.

Peter: Thank you, I appreciate it.

Peter sits down.

Mrs. Delilah: Kristine has told us a little bit about you. She says you’re a good kid.

Peter: (smiling) I am normally a good kid yes, but there have been times where I wasn’t the best kid.

Mrs. Delilah: (innocently) Oh don’t kid yourself. You seem like a good kid. Have you ever gotten into trouble?

Peter: No not really. When I was a lot younger I got in trouble, but nothing recently.

Mr. Delilah: (laughing) That is good to hear. So Peter do you work?

Peter: Yes. I work at a little store right by the mall. It is like a dollar store but we sell stuff for a little higher.

Mr. Delilah: It’s seems only temporarily though. What do you plan on doing if it fall through?

Peter: I’ll try different stores around. I don’t drive so I got to go where my feet can take me or public transportation.

Mr. Delilah: If you want, down the road I run a shop on Main Street if you need another place to work.

Peter: (smiling) I would really appreciate it if you can do that for me Mr. Delilah.

Mrs. Delilah: Kristine, if you two want to get going now you can.

Kristine: I just need to do one thing before we leave. I will be back as soon as I can.

Kristine leaves leaving Peter and the parents.

Mr. Delilah: (serious) Okay Peter, I didn’t want to say it in front of my daughter but I want to know if you had any intentions to get closer to my daughter.

Mrs. Delilah: (gasps) Honey, please.

Peter: It’s okay. I will be perfectly honest with you sir, it wasn’t an intention to get closer to her for a relationship. If it is something she wants, and as long as you approve of it, then we shall see if it happens or not.

Mr. Delilah: (serious) You seem like an okay kid, there was times where Kristine got involved with the wrong kinds of people and ended up breaking her heart. They wanted nothing more than sex and use her.

Peter: If I ever become her boyfriend I promise not to do anything like that.

Mr. Delilah: (serious) Her last one, I held a gun up to his face and told him to get out or else.

Kristine returns.

Kristine: (smiling) Ready to go Peter?

Peter looks at Kristine’s parents then at Kristine.

Peter: (smiling) Yes. Let’s go. It was nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs. Delilah.

Kristine’s parents hug Kristine and shake Peter’s hand.

Peter: It was nice meeting both of you.

Peter and Kristine walk towards the car.

Mr. Delilah: It won’t surprise me if something happens between the two. But I got to see how this kid is before he is accepted.

Mrs. Delilah: I don’t think you need to worry about Peter. What Kristine says, he seems innocent.

Scene 5

[Ext. Amusement park, night time.]

Unknown (voice): Peter and Kristine arrived at the park, went in, got on a few rides, and waited for the dressed up characters to show. They found an empty area to sit down and talk.

Peter: Does this remind you of the time you went last?

Kristine: (looking around with a smile) A little. But it is more different this time.

Peter: How so?

Kristine: (giggling) Well, I was younger back then. I was also really scared of these characters. And at the time no one was with me to protect me from getting scared.

Peter: (smiles) I will protect you if needed.

Kristine: You’re so nice Peter. Do you often act this way to others?

Peter: (hint of sadness) Not too often. Only when people that actually care about me will I ever be nice to them like this.

Kristine: I’m not like the others. I do actually care about you.

Peter: (huge smile) That’s really great to hear. I don’t hear that too often.

Kristine: (smiling) You don’t deserve to be treated wrong. I never heard a bad word about you in school or out of it.

Peter: Well in my other school I had a little bit of a bad side. I got into a fight at school and I even trashed a bathroom.

Kristine: (look of shock) Wow. You must have kept that to yourself for a long time.

Peter: I did because I wasn’t proud of that. I was afraid people would think differently of me. And besides I don’t have the body of a fighter or anything like that to get into fights.

Kristine moves closer to Peter.

Kristine: You are who you are Peter. No matter what you did in the past or do in the future. Right now who you are, is perfectly fine. You don’t need to change to make someone happy.

Peter: I appreciate that Kristine.

Kristine moves closer to Peter.

Kristine: So how is this different than the last time you went to a park like this? Most places have different attractions but most of them are close in common with others. I’ve only been here and was afraid of a scary clown with a chainsaw that came running up to me and chased me around the place for what seemed like forever, but he went after someone else after I ran.

Peter: (smiling) Well, I was with a few friends. One of them I knew more than the others and she just got so scared she kept jumping into me and almost hitting me a few times. I kept getting annoyed by that and I wanted to tell her to man up.

Kristine: That had to suck. But look at me, I haven’t gotten scared or almost hit you. Nor will I do it.

Peter: None of the monsters have come out yet though.

One of the dressed up characters comes up behind Kristine and scares her. She jumps and almost hits Peter.

Peter: You were just saying?

Kristine: (fake laughs) Fluke. Next time I won’t get scared.

Peter: (laughs) Okay, if you say so. I will protect you though just in case.

Kristine: (smiles) My hero!

Peter grabbed Kristine’s hand to move her away from the character about to scare her.

Kristine: Thank you.

Kristine doesn’t let go of Peter’s hand. Peter notices she is still holding his hand.

Peter: (looking at the hands) Don’t want to let go?

Kristine smiles and just looks at Peter.

Kristine: (smiling) It isn’t a problem I’m not letting go, is it?

Peter: (smiling) Not at all. I never had that before.

Kristine: You never had someone hold your hand before?

Peter: Well not hold it this way before, I had it felt a few times because people tell me I have really soft hands. And when I was younger people grabbed my hand to go somewhere but that was mostly family.

Kristine: Wow. You do have soft hands. What’s your secret?

Peter: (laughs) Nothing. No lotion or anything. And I move boxes a lot so I figured I would have rough hands.

Kristine: You don’t though, which surprises me. I like it.

Peter: Glad to hear it. So do you want to see the rest of the park?

Kristine: Sure, let’s go.

Peter and Kristine walk deeper in the park hand in hand. Unknown (voice): Peter and Kristine went through the rest of the park while they held hands the whole entire time. After an evening at the park the two drove back to Peter’s house and said goodnight.

My Time?

Scene 1

[Ext. Kristine’s house, night]

Unknown (voice): The next night Étaín came over to see Kristine. She was concerned because Kristine never responded to her messages while she was out with Peter.

Étaín: What happened to you yesterday? You scared me half to death. I thought something was wrong.

Kristine: Nothing was wrong Étaín. I was just out and didn’t have my phone on me.

Étaín: That’s not like you at all. Where did you go that you didn’t have your phone?

Kristine: (smiling) Horror Town Park.

Étaín: Why didn’t you tell me? I would have gone with you.

Kristine: I went with someone. It was as a favor to him.

Étaín: Who?

Kristine: I went with Peter.

Étaín: (shocked look and yelled) WHY?

Kristine: You, Danny, and Timmy dragged me away from him during the Masquerade. He wasn’t happy that happened so I told him I would make it up to him.

Étaín: (sarcastically) So going to Horror Town Park is a way of making it up to him?

Kristine: That was what he wanted. I owed something to him after what you and the others did. And you know what, I had a great time with him.

Étaín: (rolling eyes) Kristine, didn’t I tell you he was nothing but trouble? Didn’t I?

Kristine: I told you, nothing is wrong with him. We enjoyed ourselves at the park last night.

Étaín: (sarcastic) So now what? Are you going to be seeing him more?

Kristine: (smirking) Who knows. It can be possible.

Étaín: (rolling eyes) Oh please don’t. I might get sick.

Kristine: (curiosity) What do you got against Peter anyways? You never told me what is it that makes him trouble.

Étaín: He is too quiet. Don’t you remember he is going to be the one to shoot up the school?

Kristine: (shouts) THAT’S NOT TRUE!

Étaín: (smirk) How do you know? It came out of his mouth, Mick told both of us a while ago, remember? You even had class with Peter when Mick kept bringing that up.

Kristine: Last night me and Peter talked about that, he told me it was a huge misunderstanding and not true. You know Mick likes to exaggerate stories.

Étaín: Not this one. Mick wasn’t the only one who heard it out of Peter’s mouth. His whole math class heard it, even his cousin heard him.

Kristine: I don’t see Peter being the one to cause harm to people. And he wasn’t quiet at all last night. We talked for most of the night about random stories about ourselves and whatever was on his mind. He had so much to talk about.

Étaín: So you are just being nice so when he does snap and goes on a killing spree, he will spare your life?

Kristine: (angry) No! I’m nice to him because I really care!

Étaín: (smirking) Why not just do what I do, just pretend to be nice. I don’t want to die this young.

Kristine: (screams) STOP IT! YOU ARE WRONG! HE WILL NOT SHOOT UP THE SCHOOL!

Unknown (voice) While Kristine and Étaín are having a heated argument over Peter shooting up the school, they hear a voice singing.

Peter: (singing) Everyone wants you girl, but I want you more, than any other guy.

Étaín: (smirking) Looks like your boyfriend is here.

Kristine: (whispers) He is not my boyfriend.

Étaín: At least not yet.

Peter walks up to Kristine and Étaín. He is greeted with a hug from Kristine and a wave from Étaín.

Peter: How is it going tonight ladies?

Étaín: Fine.

Kristine: Really good. Why are you here tonight?

Peter: Funny story about that. I came here to talk to you. Do you got a few minutes to hear me out?

Étaín rolls her eyes.

Étaín: I’m heading inside to leave you two to talk. I’ll be back in a bit.

Étaín walks to the house.

Kristine: (smiling) So what’s up?

Peter: How was last night for you?

Kristine: (smiles) I really had fun. It was different, a good different. Instead of just going to places with Étaín I got to go with someone else for once. How was it for you?

Peter: (smiles) I really had an awesome time last night. I normally don’t get to go out and have that kind of fun. I wish last night was just frozen in time for a long time.

Kristine: You had a side of you that seemed different from you that I know. I mean, you talked a lot more than you do normally with me, and you proved you are a funny, and exciting person to be around. Plus you showed you cared.

Peter: That normally never comes out because no one has earned a right to see that. But that caring and kindness I showed is for special people only. Special like you were last night.

Kristine: (blushes) Aw. I’m special. You’re so sweet.

Peter: (smiling) You have no idea how long I have waited to hear someone tell me that.

Kristine: Well you don’t have to worry about that one.

Kristine moves in closer.

Peter: How so?

Kristine: (hugging Peter) Because you have someone here with you who will tell you that you are sweet and you are special and actually mean it.

Peter: (smiling) That is all I ever wanted for quite some time.

Peter and Kristine stare at each other and then kiss.

Peter: Wow. That was, that was amazing.

Kristine: (giggling) Was that your first kiss?

Peter: (embarrassed) Yeah it is. I know that must be a total shocker.

Kristine: (giggling) A little. But hey it happens to everyone.

Peter: I have been single all my life and was just waiting for the right person and right time to have special moments like this one.

Kristine: You think I’m the right person?

Peter: Yes you are, I have waited a few months for you.

Kristine: Why didn’t you come to me earlier about that?

Peter: You were dating someone still weren’t you?

Kristine: No. I have been single since August. No one has approached me about dates or anything ever since. I guess it’s my fault for not making that clear.

Peter: Had I known that I would have tried earlier. I was afraid of hearing no. And I was even afraid of losing our friendship.

Kristine: I’m glad you took the chance with me. After the past few days I saw you in a whole new light. I like you more now and want to see what else you got in store.

Étaín comes back out of the house.

Étaín: Kristine! Your mom and dad want you back in the house.

Peter: (sadness) Is that my cue to exit?

Kristine: I hate to say it, but yes. I got to go help them with something of a private matter. I don’t want you to leave but I have no choice to but to ask you to.

Peter: No problem. I will call you later tonight if I’m still up.

Kristine: (smiling) Alright. Get back safe Peter.

Peter and Kristine kiss each other goodnight. Peter heads back the way he came.

Étaín: You were saying earlier?

Kristine: What?

Étaín: (mocking Kristine) He is not my boyfriend. (Normal) Looks like it now.

Kristine: A heart changes feelings doesn’t it? He has what I want in someone. He cares, he made me laugh, he listens, and he is cute. Plus he doesn’t seem like he wants just sex.

Étaín: Please. Don’t tell me anymore.

Kristine: You won’t let this one go will you? Even now, that we will be seeing each other?

Étaín: I can pretend to be nice when he is around, but I still find something wrong. If he breaks your heart, can I break him?

Kristine: I’m sure you won’t have to. I don’t see problems coming out of him.

Étaín: When it does, I want to tear him a new asshole.

Kristine and Étaín continue talking while going into the house.
