Silk paintings?

I have 2 small pictures (one approximately 4×6, the other 5×8) on heavy, obviously old cardstock paper. They look like drawings, but large blocks of color are actually a silky fabric. Silk? They are signed Lane Flaeger-Berthe. See photos please.
What is this called? How old are they? I want to hang them on my wall, but are they valuable?
