I worked at fast food places and even Whataburger for a little bit. I cannot believe how much they mess up orders now. The one I live by is the winner of the games they do for the stores. They were so amazing. Now itās just awful. Orders wrong 50% of the time, have to ask for things twice, managers are just horrible to customers and employees. I guess itās not surprising since this whole covid thing has made it worse for anyone in these type of jobs.
I just couldnāt believe the other day though. Iām a strong believer in itās ok to discipline an employee respectfully and correct the problem about something they did, not in front of customers and other employees. This manager was just berating this kid who was new and working curbside about how he forgot a drink for a customer. I mean to the point where she stopped taking my order. I said to her āhey you need to stop that right now, you berating this young man for trying his best and heās fucking new. You are doing this in front of customers. You shouldnāt be doing that and instead of beating him down maybe you should be better and just explain to him certain things and fucking help him.ā I turned around and walked out. I filed a complaint to corporate and the store manager and havenāt heard back I doubt I will. I just cannot believe how much this shit has gone down hill.
