Alrighty guys, I'll be honest: our photo quality hasn't really been fantastic since the great Tom Janz moved to Canada (and, so far as I know, left most of the shaving community behind). It has bothered me for awhile, but I haven't been able to find anyone who really gets what we're looking for, you know?

All of that has now changed. We have a new photographer, who did the shoot that some of you may have seen for Berceuse's Minneapolis 5.3 EdP (full bottles for that drop tomorrow, by the way). She's super talented, super creative, and seems to understand my rather specific requirements for a really incredible photo shoot. I liked her work for Berceuse so much that I have now commissioned a new shoot in Boston on Saturday, June 25 at the Fifteen Beacon Hotel. We'll be shooting for most of the afternoon, but I don't exactly know what time we'll be doing model shots just yet.

Here's where one of you comes in.

I need a model. This will be a mostly product-centric shoot, but I want to add a human element to a product made for human beings. I tried finding a pro, but they're just not what I'm looking for. Most of them wear beards, for one thing.

So then I had a different idea, and now we get to the fun part: I want one of you.

This is an official Barrister and Mann casting call for wet shavers in the Boston/Metro West area, or in New England if you want to drive, for a guy willing to appear on camera and sign a model release to allow us to use your likeness in our advertising (I'd be thrilled to introduce you by name, but won't do so without your permission). You will be asked to shave, so, for purposes of the shoot, please don't shave that morning (or the previous evening, if you're a night shaver) and you're welcome to bring any DE/brush that you like. I will provide you with product with which to shave, including post shave, and those will be yours to keep in addition to your monetary compensation.

To make it clear, I am asking no one to work for free. This is a paid gig, and the pay will be commensurate with industry modeling rates. Please expect this to take at least four hours (and, if it takes less, you will be paid for four hours). I will pay you in cash at the end of the day, nice and easy.
