We're a bit more than halfway through 2021, and you've now had a chance to try the purchases that came in during Lather Games. So what have been your favorite scents so far this year? What should the rest of us be checking out? Much more informal than the best of the year threads, dupes are fine, ethical issues aside, no need for ranked lists, but let's try and keep it to products and scents that came out in 2021.

For me, i'll go top 3,

Southern Witchcrafts Fougere Nemeta. I was a bit skeptical of a fougere with a strawberry note. I figured, this can't be a green fougere, it's gotta be something different...Nope, it's a green fougere, it's got strawberry, and it's amazing. I think the fact that it's a light, not overly street strawberry is what keeps you huffing. /u/ItchyPooter has long been touting Shawn's fougere's, and after Heather and Nemeta, i'm included to just shut up and get on board.

Spearhead Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime. Straight up, I wasn't interested in this at all. Lime? eh. Lime with Bay? PASS. Shawn's good, but eh. Then the reviews started coming in about how great it was, and someone sent me a smoosh. Shawn IS that good. Somewhat like BaM Seville, in that, it seems kind of simple, and will be a crowd pleaser, but the more you smell it, the more interesting it is. Great stuff and I wouldn't be shocked if one day this isn't in that Seville/Ghost Town Barber/Executive Man type conversation of huge sellers.

Declaration Grooming Chaotic Neutral. Scott's description of "it doesn't really smell like tea, it was inspired by hot tea." is spot on and I can't even explain why. Just a great scent that has been working for me year round.

Honorable mentions:

Summer Break Soaps Rope Swing. So far i've just smelled the dry soap sample, which does have menthol fumes to mess me up, but it seems pretty good. Will use it soon enough.

House of Mammoth Embrace. I only had a small decant which leaked on the way to me, but the box smelled great.
