It's no secret that I pretty much despise unscented products. If you're new, you may be wondering, why the irrational hatred? You'll find your answer in my post on Emeffing Monday from this year's Lather Games. Long story short I find them joyless and boring. I also firmly believe that most of us wouldn't be here if it weren't for scents. We might be wet shavers, but, unless you're u/garytha, you probably wouldn't be participating on a community about shaving.

Essentially this contest is to convince some of you to spend a month torturing yourself with mundane shaves. Something I'd never do. This will be the second year of this side contest, here is last year's announcement. Several of you saps (way more than I expected) actually went through with it. MOST of the rules remain the same as last year, but there are some changes so pay attention!

1. To enter simply use your unscented products on day 1 and then I will track your shaves from there. PLEASE TAG ME on your August 1st shave. If you don't tag me i might miss that you plan to participate Also, if the name of the product does not make it obvious that it's unscented please include (unscented) after the name for the first day at least.

2. You must shave for all 31 days.

3. Every single part of your shave must be unscented (pre-shaves, soaps, and aftershave/balm). Additionally, you CANNOT use a frag. Why? because I'm a jerk and I don't want any of you to actually do this!You must use the same unscented products for the entire month since that is the idea behind AA.

4. SOTD posts must be made my 11:59 Pacific time on the day of the shave (unless you let me know beforehand that you will be posting them at a later date).

5. If you're unsure if a soap is truly unscented, take a look at the ingredients if it mentions fragrance, fragrance oil, essential oil, parfum, etc. then it does not qualify (sorry Mitchell's Wool Fat users).

6. There is no bonus this year for using SBS unscented stuff since Shh! has been discontinued. Icy Stare splash is till available though.

So I'm a crazy person and think I want to try this, what can I win.

International people are welcome to enter to compete for just the grand prize and a shave soap. I'll cover the cost of shipping up to $20.

Will I be joining you?

This is my 4th AA here on the sub, and will actually be the first time I've participated. However, I absolutely will not be joining you. In fact I'm prepared to put my hypothesis from my Lather Games rant to the test. I will be attempting to kill off my TOBS Lavender. Additionally I will be using Fine Fresh Vetiver splash, something not exactly known for moisturizing. I'm be also 100% confident I'll enjoy shaving this month more than any of you that take this on.
