[PIF] One Year Wetshaving Anniversary

Post Body

EDIT: THIS PIF IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS FOR PLAYING.

A bit belated but my one-year wetshaving anniversary passed a week and a half ago or so and I thought it’d be the perfect time for another one of these fun things.

And because it’s my PIF for my anniversary of my hobby and it’s all about me, the winner will receive their choice of products from my favorite artisan (drumroll please [never mind, I got it, y’all can siddown])…SUMMER BREAK SOAPS!!! You’re surprised, I can tell.

That’s right gentlemen, the winner will get their choice of a shave soap, a splash, and a bath bar to boot. (My personal recommendations are Picture Day and Teachers Pet but they’re all good.)

You know, sometimes when I’m walking down the street, minding my own, looking and smelling goddamn incredible, gorgeous women and envious men stop me and ask me, they say “MDY, y u always shill for SBS?” I smile and remove the panties from my head and hang them in my back pocket with the others and explain that I just dig that shit. Maybe it’s cuz I also work for a Public School system. Maybe it’s the proximity, as I’m only about 4 hours away from Kearney and SBS is about as local as I can get. Maybe it’s because they opened up shop mere weeks after I started wetshaving and I feel a weird, almost fate-like connection there, like if they were close up shop for whatever reason, I’d stop growing facial hair, or something equally horrific.

In any case, it is what it is. And what it is, is a PIF. And so.

Rules is easy: This stays open for 48 hours. There is no karma threshold for this PIF. This means that it’s open to everyone, from the grizzled, salty, battle-worn wetshaving veterans, to the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed noobs, that just binned their carts and goo, who want something better out of life. Entrants are to choose a number betwixt one and a billion. At least three of you must choose a 9-digit number, for my own amusement, or the whole damn thing is off. (Seriously.) Closest one to the randomly-generated number gets the goods. I’ve already organized everything with the good man himself and we agreed no strippers this time (can’t have another DV on my conscience.) All’s I needs is your shipping address and your order. This PIF will close at approximately 0100 hrs MST on Wednesday morning and the drawing will happen immediately afterwards. The winner will be announced in a new thread.

There is a caveat, though. The winner must post in an upcoming SOTD thread and tag me in it. What happens if you don’t? Nothing. But I will wish stubbed toes and irritating shaves upon you, à la Thinner.

(While I do have your attention, keep your eyes peeled for new stuff coming down the pipe from SBS. Several of you tested the new base with me and it’s great. From what I understand, it's slated for release in late spring-ish. Field Day is coming back, which is one of my favorite scents in all of wetshaving and the only thing I ever felt the need to get a backup of, so that my face will taste good in case of a zombie apocalypse. And here is another teaser of good things to come. Stay tuned.)

One more thing: I owe this subreddit a big, fat, hairy (stubbly?) THANK YOU for turning me on to this way of shaving. I used to despise shaving and I had pretty much accepted that it would always be an irritating, unpleasant chore that I would have to do twice a week or so for the rest of my life. After learning about wetshaving and diving in balls first, I can say that it has completely changed the way I look at grooming in general and that, in itself, has been life-changing. I now look forward to shaving. It’s my me time. If any lurkers are on the fence, please join us, here. It is a welcoming place. So thank you to everyone that helped me find my footing and who continue to offer words of wisdom for me and all the noobs. I still consider myself a noob.

I cannot say this enough. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
