Welp you've all read about /u/Huckleberryking and I recent venture in vintage restoration, so without further adieu,

The Razor

This all started thanks to /u/Nusquam-Humanitus, when he posted two vintage Gillettes he had Chris and CAP do an all out restoration and replate. One was rhodium bright nickel with rose gold accents on the doors, base plate, adjustment knob and perhaps the lower knob as well (correct me if I'm wrong man) and I loved it the moment I saw it. I like rose gold and currently have a watch with rose accents and the wedding ring my wife got me is a mokume gane band with rose gold, palladium and stirling.

Anywho I didn't want a simple rhodium job and wanted to avoid a full copy of N-H's razor, so I had Chris and CAP do rhodium with just the adjustment knob in rose with white numbers and a black spring. I am pretty damn excited to get this in the mail because not only is it awesome looking but it's the first razor I got when starting this whole wet shaving thing.

Lastly here's a bit of a confession; a while back /u/Nusquam-Humanitus posted yet another set of razors he had refinished but this time through DeltaEcho. He straight up said, "message me and I'll send you one." I couldn't believe it as I read the response asking for my address and zero payment for anything. So while deployed to the sand box I received not only my first Gillette Fatboy, but a Fatboy redone by DE in desert flat earth (funny given my location). So I would like to thank /u/Nusquam-Humanitus for his insane generosity and overall being an awesome guy, because thanks to you my friend I have two crazy beautiful razors in a tiny collection I call mine.

Oh and again I've gotta say that /u/Huckleberryking 's razor is dumb gorgeous, and honestly the best looking between ours. It's phenomenal what fresh black and rhodium will do to a vintage razor.
