I've been sightly inactive content-wise for a while now. Thought it was time to fix that.
Anyways, Bullgoose a while back had plans to create the HuntLee razor, which at the time was meant to rival the King Cobra and Cobra Classic. Well, due to many difficulties the HuntLee project had to be put on hold. You are already aware of what then followed; Mongoose came around to provide competition to the scene, RazoRock then had plans to enter the playing field (which never happened), OneBlade popped up. Suddenly everyone now has their hand, or is trying to get involved, in the SE world, even iKon.
But it seems that Phil has gotten over his challenges and is preparing to launch a new SE--a revamped version of the HuntLee. Here's the text from the announcement on TSN:
About 2 1/2 years ago I worked with a product engineer to design a single edge safety razor that takes the Feather Professional blades. I shopped it around extensively, received some interest from machine shops, but was ultimately told that it either could not be machined as designed or that machining would be so expensive that it was not feasible. I was about ready to give up. It turns out that I was simply shopping it to the wrong machine shops.
I started shopping it around again and have received some good news. The new machine shop assured me that with some minor changes to the tongue and groove design, they can produce it for me. I hope to have a 3D model in about a week. Prototypes will follow approximately 4 weeks after I approve the model.
The production model will be fully machined from 303 Stainless Steel and the razor will be 100% U.S. Made. Rx Razor Works -Your Prescription to a better shave!

I'm not big on SEs myself but it seems interesting. I'm especially curious about the price. Looks a lot like the Cobras, which is in no way a bad thing, but seems to benefit from the lack of blade-locking mechanism, which i know so many people hate. So what do you guys think? SE fans, are you excited about the addition of a new razor to the market?
