Post Body

I'm going to try and keep this short as I'm not much of a writer.
Here is the product page for the soap

  • First Impressions: The first thing you notice is the dark battleship gray colored soap. Looks pretty cool but I'll have to use it a few more times before I can judge wether or not the activated charcoal has any affect.
  • Scent: I get rose, woods, and spice. The scent strength is pretty good. It's a bit stronger then Topanga Fougere but not as strong as Barrister and Mann. I would call it a very masculine floral. The rose really stands out and for me it's what I hoped Czech & Speake No.88 was going to smell like. I love No.88 but this is my new favorite rose scent. The spice is reminiscent of the spice in B&M's Fougere Aromatique. If you like rose/floral scents
    (/u/crazindndude) I highly recommend it.
  • Lather: This is where it really stood out. I find the soaps from LA Shaving a bit finicky when it comes to lathering up. I usually start with too much water and have to load the hell out of the brush. I don't know what he did different this time but it loaded in no time and the lather exploded on my face. And the slickness was really impressive. Slickness shouldn't be a problem when dealing with any of the top tier shave soaps but this stuff was pretty great.
  • Post Shave: Better then his normal offerings not as good as a soap with lanolin. I usually like soaps with lanolin as my face gets dried out easily. I used Institut Karité balm after then a splash and my face feels great. It did leave my face feeling incredibly clean afterwards.
  • Overall: I'm really glad I bought this. He really stepped up the performance which is saying a lot because his soaps were already pretty damn good. If you like florals, buy it.
