My dad has always been a big woodworker so when I mentioned that I wanted to turn a brush handle he was all aboard. It had been a long time since I had used the lathe so it took a couple test runs but in the end I found myself in possession of a beautiful little travel brush. I really wanted something that would fit easily in a pill bottle (with holes for air circulation) and that was synthetic so it would dry fast. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.
Went with a 22mm Plisson style synthetic knot, and a 31mm tall Marblewood handle ending with a total brush height of 85mm, perfect for the bottle I had.
