Beginner shaver, looking for quick advice
Post Body

Hey guys, kinda new to this whole thing (currently 17). I use cartridge razors (3 Blade, gillete) just because im not super enthusiastic or willing to spend more than the minimum for a good shave. I have an alum block and shaving cream (not gel).

For a typical shave, I lather WTG, then across, and finally ATG, before gliding the alum block over. Lather each time separately, wash with warm water.

My issue(s) lie in the fact that as of late, Ive had a lot of acne on my neck, and when my facial hair starts to grow back, it seems to be really rough and kinda pointy. Also I have alum sting almost every time.

So my questions to you guys would be:

  • Can you recommend any shaving technique videos?
  • What can I do to avoid spreading acne around the neck?
  • How do I prevent hair from growing back in this rough texture manner?

Any other recommendations/suggestions would be welcome.

Thank you guys!
