Hello everybody,
I'm in the market for a new razor, and I'm kind of hoping this will be the last razor I buy for several years. I currently use a Standard, which I'm reasonably happy with, but I'm sure there's better razors to be had (for me). Obviously YMMV, but by most accounts, Above the Tie seems to be a decently safe bet for a "final razor."
With that being said, I have no clue which baseplate/cap I should use. I see that ATT has a very solid 30 day return policy, so my question is:
Would it be rude/exploitative to use it to find which baseplate would be best for me?
I don't want to use the policy in an abusive way. I realize I could contact him directly, but would rather not put him in the situation of having to say yes.
Aside from that, I was wondering what other razors you guys would recommend I look into. As of now, I'm mainly deciding between an ATT or the RRSS. The RRSS has pretty rave reviews, but nobody seems to have done a detailed comparison of it to the ATT slant, and I hate the fact that it's still considered a "prototype" - I don't want a flawed razor.
Any other recommendations are welcome, I'm pretty open minded.
Thanks!
