I added a renogy solar system to my vanagon 2 years ago and it was the best decision. Have since upgraded from an agm to a lithium battery and swapped out my cooler for a 12v fridge powered by solar- game changer! Congrats!๐งก
This is true! I isolated my lithium for this reason! Didn't want to involve the alternator! So no split necessary. The lithium is ONLY charged via solar. And I haven't had any issues with it in 2 years. Allows me to boondock for long periods of time and not worry that my van won't start. ๐

Yesss I've heard great things about Victron too, but met many full timer vanlifers over the years that loved their Renogy- so I swung that way and have had zero issues with the system. My lithium battery is PureLife but the rest of the set up- solar panels, charge controller are renogy.
