We're seeing an increase of posts not following the rules. Not to mention some posts are borderline similar to spam/ad posts. I'm contemplating re-arranging the rules to make rule 4 as rule 1, lol.
All titles must include your age(s), gender(s), and general location (not just the state, please, lol).
Posts missing even one of these results in further digging to confirm OP is a real person actually looking for meeting/chatting-with others.
That doesn't mean a perfect title doesn't result in a quick look over the OP's profile and post content.
Comments are starting to push the need for inspecting of the commenter's profile and post history, short, low effort, and lazy comments are pruned by the Automod. If your post is removed, all we can suggest is be a bit more creative and one or two words, and/or emotes.
What do we look for in people's profiles and comments? That's mostly a secret, otherwise scammers will work around this. What we can say is, we're looking for clear signs of manipulated, scammy, and/or ad like content.
Another sign we've been seeing, and not yet determined if action is needed...Posts we've removed, still receiving comments. Normally a sign that OP is scammy in one or more ways. Buying comments to look more appealing, among other paid benefits.
Post/comment removed because your profile age is less than 30days? As the Automod comment states, let us know, and we'll approve your post. Approving the user account has shown not to be reliable, instead after you contact the mods, we'll approve your post, so long as it meets the rules, which some users have contacted but the post follows one or two of the three requirements.
On occasion I'll go through and delete posts of accounts that have long been removed. User appearing as [deleted]. There is no point of them sticking around, with no way for visitors to reach out, and just waists space, and for some time. We've had some less-than-a-day old posts with accounts deleted before we can glance, lol.
Things you can do as visitors and commenters:
- If you contact OP, and they attempt to converse money, please contact the mods! Even if they say they need it for fuel to meet you, don't. They can take your money, and you'll never hear back.
- Check if OP has commented, not just posted. I don't know about everyone, but if I check someone's profile, and not once ever commented in the last year, it's not worth reaching out. Also check their comments, if they look like canned answers, let alone ads, this can be argued as a red flag.
- Time gaps in posts. I've seen a few with posts in various, SFW communities, go silent for months or more, then suddenly posting adult content. Again, can be argued, but likely a hacked account.
