Perth breaks record for warmest summer.
Post Body

Disclaimer, Iā€™m not a meteorologist. However, this graph shows the cumulative degree days or heat units for the Perth Airport BoM station for summer (1st December to the current date) since records started. Rather than relying on the number of days over some arbitrary temperature (like 40C), this adds up the average daily temperature. Heat units like this are commonly used in agriculture. It shows the past summer was warmer than any in the past eighty years. I did the same thing for other stations, such as Northam, and got the same result. So it's not just Perth.
