My Thoughts on Wentworth
Post Body

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!!!!

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN PAST SEASON 3 STOP READING NOW!!!!!!

I just finished season 8 recently and I've been waiting to post on here to share my thoughts on this incredible show. I can't begin to describe how great this show is. So many shows out there are great for maybe 3 seasons and then they jump the shark season 4 and on. Wentworth, however, keep you intrigued every season. The setup of every big moment is always unexpected. You think you've figured out the formulas for the but Wentworth Ross the soul right out of you every time.

My favorite characters in the show were Bea Smith and Frankie Doyle. I thought their characters were incredible developed. To the point were you as the viewer felt like you were waiting to pick them up from prison as if you were their best friend. Bea Smiths evolution from start to her death makes her death and memorial/funeral scene that much more impactful. That scene gave me chills as the viewer realizes that Bea really isn't coming back.

Ferguson, as much as I hate her, is an incredible villain. So well done and so deep as a character. Everytime you think you've figured her out more layers present themselves. You love to hate Ferguson. I was so happy when she got buried alive. I literally cheered and my roommates couldn't understand why I was cheering if no sports were on. When she came back from the grave I literally wanted to throw up. At first I thought it was a stretch for them to bring her back but slowly I began to feel like Vera. I could literally feel the great of the unknown. Whether she remembered or if she really had amnesia.

The one thing I couldn't stand though is Reb and Lou. I was so annoyed with them. Lou was incredibly predictable everytime she was on the screen. All Reb does is complain about how he's not who he wants to be. I get that he doesn't feel like himself in the body he is in, but come on. Literally every scene with him in it is him complaining about it or complaining about not being with Lou. I think they played this relationship up way too much. I get incredibly annoyed with their relationship. It makes me want to throw up half the time just because of how clingy they are with each other.

Overall though I love the show. The characters and storylines are so well developed that is impossible to guess what's coming next (except if you're Reb and Lou). I'll be sad when it ends but I can't wait for season 9 to air. So excited to see what's going to happen!
