We send our humblest of greetings to the mighty Zhao Hengti. We have seen your declaration of independence from the ill-fated ruins of the League and it has gone well. We come to ask for the potentiality of Hunan’s cooperation with the Anhui clique against the accursed KMT forces. They are a blight upon our own foreign policy of decolonization, as it is obvious to anyone they receive their marching orders from London and Paris. We know you are opposed to such silly Syndicalist ideas as you were once a student along with many of our brave officers in Japan. We hope to build upon this great friendship to expand and increase our mutual cooperation to rebuild China as a free and independent state where Provincial autonomy such as yours is valued.
