RECRUITMENT

Since the mid-1920's, successive governments have expanded the Venezuelan Army into the powerful force it is today! However, we absolutely cannot sit on our laurels, for we could easily lose our edge. Keeping the army modern will ensure that it remains a force to be reckoned with in the region.

These were the words spoken by President Rómulo Betancourt just days ago! It comes with resounding praise and agreement from the rest of the country and members of cabinet as the military moves to maintain its presence ever-so proudly in our country! Reforms have been finalized by the president to begin limited conscription for all males to serve at least one-year in the military or some form of government service.

To sweeten this deal for immigrants, they may also serve 2-years in the Venezuelan Military to have citizenship guaranteed to them! It is expected by June of this year that our military's size will be bolstered from 48,000 to 53,000, hopefully to get up to 55,000 before autumn.

We must always be on our toes, especially in these trying times of the future...

OUR ARSENAL

Thankfully to our German trade-partners, we have begun to equip our soldiers with modern weapons more widespread! It is with glee that we announce the instruction of assault-based soldiers, armed with sub-machine guns alongside our standard infantrymen and machine-gunners themselves! These SMG's will also be equipped to our cavalrymen, hopeful to ensure a rapid and steady deployment onto the frontlines!

There is still much work to be made not only with our artillery and general doctrines, but also our Army Air Corps as a whole!
