Following a successful vote of no-confidence today in the State Duma, Aleksandr Kerensky's government has unceremoniously collapsed with Nikolai Nekrasov - Kerensky's biggest rival in the Duma - quickly being sworn in by the Senate by a narrow margin. Promising to not veto the 1922 Election Law, Nekrasov was able to play off of fears that a continued Kerensky government would bring Russia to ruin.
However, after getting confirmed by the Russian Senate, Nekrasov was shot on the steps of the Tauride Palace by a lone gunman. Quickly striking Nekrasov multiple times in the chest, the lone gunman quickly attempted to fire on Minister of the Interior Anton Denikin before he quickly shot and tackled by nearby members of the Federal Protective Service. While the lone gunman has been identified as Alexei Kruchinkin, the police have been unable to find a motive or suspected connections due to Alexei being in critical condition as a result of his wounds.
God have mercy on Russia.
