Spain, Early 1941
As part of reconstruction, across all of Spain, schools are being built or set up in preexisting buildings, in order to educate the adults and youth of Spain, regardless of social class, age, gender, race, or location. These schools will be free to attend, no matter what, and will teach things such as literacy and mathematics, and will also work to function as local libraries in locations where such an institution is not already in place. In the countryside, class time will be scheduled so as not to conflict with when people are needed for the harvest seasons.
We will also be instituting a policy of making university and other sorts of higher education free, as well, and will be providing government resources to said universities so they may expand in order to meet the new increase in alumni they are likely to take in.
In a country once torn by war, it is hoped that by educating the youth and adults, and sending them to university, we can look forwards to a future where men and women do not aspire to fight, or to do hard labor well in their life, but to also cultivate their minds, as well. A future of science, technology, and more skilled labor awaits the workers and peasants of Spain!
