Excerpted from a brief pamphlet which was issued to Rifleman-Workers in Republican Territory to distribute, as well as Published across Spain.
"... What is it that the Worker's Front fights for?
We fight for the liberation of the working class, the farmhand, the factory laborer, the artisan, the stay at home parent. We fight so that each night, you may go home with a full stomach and a smile on your face, and if your children are crying, it is because they were not allowed to stay up late, and not because they have felt the bite of hunger in their chest. We fight so that when you come home from your labor, you have accomplished more than putting money into the pockets of already rich men. We fight so that you will find that wherever you work, you own as part of working there, and that it is not owned by some faceless owner who barely even knows of your existence."
"... Spain has been ravaged, first by remnants of Feudalism, then by the most reactionary elements of Feudalism scraping and hissing to try to maintain control. We have all lost friends, family, lovers, in this fight. What good is it then, to allow a new kind of Feudalism, Capitalism, to take back over?
This is not the world we fought for!"
"...In the bourgeois revolutions, the revolutions lead by the rich, the liberties they guaranteed were that of the interests of the rich: Liberty to do as they pleased, Property to own and become fat off of, and Life, for when your life is one of expropriation, you wish to continue to expropriate as long as you may.
The Worker's Revolution promises that which applies to the people: Freedom from Capital and Kings, Bread for all your days, and a Life which is not one of expropriation or being expropriated by others, but which is, above all; happy. You will not get happiness from working in a factory or field you do not own, only to leave work to wish you had food you do not own, and to find that you live in a nation which you do not own, while the people who do own where you work, what you eat, and where you live, live in cushy mansions and country houses; they do not live in the Spain in which you live."
And from a speech by Jose Diaz in Zaragoza, and broadcasted via radio:
"... You surely all remember what Capitalism wrought in 1936. Black Monday in Spain was a tragic day, and who worked to help lessen the effects where we could? It was the Worker's Front. The unemployed will be guaranteed a home and food, because it is not the potential denial of these things which makes people work. The threat of starvation and exposure to the elements is just that; and unjust threat, which no woman, man, or child, should have leveled upon them. We level no threats against any except the bourgeoisie who would take away these things from you, and against the bootlicking reactionaries, who think it in their best interests to fight for the rich to continue to have this power. Enough, comrades, is enough!"
