There has been a curious sight across Bosnia, where the flag of the Peru-Bolivian Confederation has been flown. This practice is stupid and must be stamped out immediately. Though Austria assigned us a flag when they first attempted to form a Kingdom of Bosnia and we rejected their motion, there has been a sort of a limbo with national symbols thus far.

The new flag chosen harkens back to the ideals of panSlavism that inspired many of the national flags of Slavic states in the region. Red stands for the blood that had been shed during battles for our freedom, white represents purity and peace while blue represents honor. The red star in the middle will signify the fight for our republic, no matter when it is threatened. A star shining against the bands of reaction in Belgrade.
