People of Spain, we have collectively won a great victory for the liberation of our people from oppression. The Monarchists and Carlists have fled our great country for harsher lands, and Spain now belongs to the people; to the ones who built the country and live in it, the Workers and Peasants.

But lo; we are not freed yet from all that there is to oppress us. Capitalists, former friends of the kings who turned upon them when the war was lost, can still return. Any republic or democracy which allows the interests of the Exploiter Class to be heard or thought of in the ruling of the country is no democracy; it is a dictatorship of the rich. Of the factory owners. Of the landlords. Of the new feudal princes in a liberal world. We did not fight for freedom from the monarchy only to allow a new kind of feudalistic repression to shroud us.

Worse; do you live in a democracy when, at work, you have any say in how your work is run? What you produce? Wages? Hours? If your factory is not collectivized, not even in the all-important Union do you have as direct a say in these matters as a factory boss. If your land is not collectivized, you are almost as low as a feudal serf in these matters. If your work is not collectively owned by you, you do not live in a democracy while at work.

No say on the ballot, on the laws, on your work, on your life; this is not the world which was fought for. This is not the world which you want to live in, is it? Do not allow this to be what happens to all of us!

Viva la Frente de los Trabajadores de Espana! A Socialist Spain is a Free Spain! The workers and peasants will rule, and the workers and peasants will see that the Dawn of the Proletariat becomes a time of the bright sunlight and beautiful day, and does not sink back down before the horizon is, at last, crested.
