Following the German attack and seizure of American Samoa, America would respond as a way to not only help build support for the war, but also fund the war effort as recent counter offensives has re-stabilized threatened sectors in West Texas and Virginia. With an Executive Order, President Wallace has authorized not only the full nationalization of German industry, but requested that German diplomats in the country pack up and leave, effectively severing all diplomatic ties between the two countries. Money gained from the German assets in Federal areas will be used to firstly reimburse American companies following an expected process of German nationalization of overseas American companies. Once reimbursement is completed, the profits and proceeds from these companies will be used to help fund the American war effort against the Longists and the CSA.

For Germany: It is mentioned to the German government that America might be willing to reverse the nationalizations and restore ties if Germany withdraws from the American possessions it has currently occupied.
