Soldiers of Spain! Are you not tired of fighting imperialist wars for your reactionary king? Look at how many thousands of you have died, only for you to lose! Your leaders were willing to have 3000 of you killed so they could look strong, and even this they could not manage: merely killing 8000 Innocents and losing the Espana.

Your leaders are not only pathetic, but they are also disconnected from you.

Are there any millionaires among you? Any rich land owners? No! They are all generals and officers! Do your generals and officers, then, eat with you? Fight with you? Die with you? No, they merely send you to your deaths, and promise you a colored ribbon with a piece of metal bolted on, along with the feeble promise that maybe one day you too will be like them.

You, surely, understand that the army is not a system in which you, the many, are meant to rise, but so too is it in Capitalism! You are just as poor in the army as in Capitalism! The rich bosses and kings promise you the same things: A bonus if you perform well, and the promise you may one day become like them if you slave away for them. Does the King scramble for the moldy crust of a bread for his children? Does the Factory Owner or Landlord work with you, on the assembly line or in the fields? No, they are content to allow you to do these things, while they grow fat on plunder from your labor: And so too do they, when you fight imperialist wars! Why must you die in a foreign country, for a King who does not care about you beyond your body, for a Capitalist who does not care about you beyond your labor, for a Landlord who will merely take the food you produce and use it to feed himself and make a profit? What makes it worth it to be told to commit violent atrocities? To kill fellow humans? To watch friends die around you?

The time has come for you to stop fighting for others and start fighting for yourselves, for your friends and family, for a future where you do not need to kill brown men because some man in a far away palace told you to, because his rich friends wanted to make a profit.

Do not be tricking into fighting against your fellow workers and peasants! Do not be tricked into gunning down your friends and family because a rich man wanted you to!
