Following the departure of the most of the SPA Congressional delegation from Washington D.C., the NUP saw that the day had to be seized, before Long revolted and put in the NUP in an even worse position, as the Constitution requires two-third of senators and House delegations present for voting on which President-elect and Vice-President elect would take over after Hoover and Curtis. In a bid to help gain support for the NUP, follow the Constitution and help put the pretentious Haywood and his 'Vice-President' Reed in their place, the NUP Congressional Delegations in both the House and the Senate would ultimately pick Wallace and Rayburn as President and Vice President respectively at approximately 11:31am following a faster than usual roll call vote with most of the SPA delegation ultimately refusing to show up.

Following the confirmation of the votes in both the House and Senate, Capitol Police escorted the pair to the East Portico at the U.S. Capitol building, where Chief Justice Hughes would have them recite the Oath of Office. Both Wallace and Rayburn - for security reasons - would recite the Oath with their right hand on a book of law, the small crowd unable to quickly find a Bible in the rush and with the threat of potential Red Guard action potentially disrupting the inauguration. As of 12:18 pm on February 2nd, Henry Agard Wallace has officially become the 31st President of the United States of America. Upholding Executive Order 7056, Wallace would address the nation over the radio to help calm fears, stating that the Red Guard and the threat they pose to America's democratic government will eliminated and order will soon be restored with the help of the federalized National Guard and Armed Forces. However, recognizing the power of the Red Guard in certain states, President Wallace has made a public request to Congress, requesting that Congress not only give enough funding so that the Army may meet the 175,000 limit as established by the National Defense Act of 1916, but permit further expansion and funding of the army to enable the Army to ultimately grow to 400,000 over the course of the next few months should the current forces in the hands of the Federal Government be insufficient to stop the paramilitary group from wreaking anarchy wherever they are.

Following Wallace's speech, the NUP in the Senate quickly rushed to select Wallace's 'dream' cabinet, to not only help restart the government, but to also give legitimacy/help prevent a decapitation strike from happening in the future.

Frances Perkins - Secretary of Labor

James Farley - Postmaster General (because fucking bombs in the mail are a thing)
