Following Coughlin's decidedly anti-Semantic rants on air and following increasing Catholic pressure to shut down Coughlin's hate speech, it has been decided that Coughlin will be shut down... in an aroundabout way in order to avoid accusations of targeting.

Through new regulations and restrictions placed on broadcasting by the Hoover Administration, Father Coughlin has been taken off the air. The implementation of permits for radio broadcasting has, at least temporarily taken Coughlin off the air. The Hoover administration has decided that radio is a limited national resource, and thus is to be regulated as a public commons, and thus legal. Whether or not Coughlin will be able to go back on the air remains to be seen, but due to the election being so close, it seems that Coughlin will not be able to get back on the air in sufficient capability until after the election.
