Following the start of Congress' recess and the end of the legislative session, NUP Presidential Nominee Henry A. Wallace and his Vice Presidential Nominee Sam Rayburn have begun to go on campaign in Maine, seeking to fulfill the American maxim, "As Maine goes, so goes the nation" by giving heavy support to NUP incumbents in the state, including Maine Governor Lewis Owin Barrows. Following this, Henry Wallace will take a detour to Florida in order to assist in the special election in the area. Once both of these are done, Wallace and Rayburn will go across the country, doing their best to visit every state at least once - if not twice - for most of the election season. A big emphasis will be done on states that might be able to flip to the NUP (Texas, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri). These states are subject to change once polls closer to the election are released.

Wallace and Rayburn will try to reinforce this message. While doing some attacks on policies the AFUP/SPA have proposed as "unreasonable, destined to fail, unconstitutional and un-American" they will leave open the door to more moderate proposals, stating that America needs reform, but it must not lose its spirit, ignore its history, nor compromise American democracy for political gain.
