The DVLP's Response

Germany needs firm leadership to prevent the continuation of the economic collapse.

As stated before, the DVLP was one of those in the middle class that had warned greatly of the economic crisis, however citing instead of mismanaged finances, they blamed the entire issues upon "Judeo-Syndicalist Terrorists." To the uneducated and uninitiated, this seemed extremely accurate. The DVLP had called for a maintenance of German goods, of German engineering, maintenance of German jobs and the progressing German ingenuity. What they instead got were uneducated, relatively generalized bigotry at the goal of "Pan-Germanica." This was their base. The fundamentalists, the racists, the antisemitic and the xenophobic. Their newest members? The unemployed, the depressed, the children and the unenlightened. The DVLP was going to take these people backwards instead of forwards all for their own goals.

The New Chancellor's Policies

Alfred Hugenberg was made Reichsfuhrer by Wilhelm II following the successes and the strings of arrests the past month. Although Hugenberg had viewed Wilhelm II with contempt for denying him the position years ago, his contempt still remained but now more socially hidden. His first few acts as Reichsfuhrer was introducing policies to improve the economy and the work force. SECRET It was his own idea to create camps for the political dissidents and to put them to work at no cost to Germany, allowing companies to continue to produce at a cheap rate.

It would be up to him and his party to fix Germany - or so he viewed. The Social Democrats would be fighting him at every possible turn. The month after being appointed Reichsfuhrer, Hugenberg made personal appeals to businesses such as Junkers, Messerschmits and Siemans to support him and the DVLP. "Private enterprises cannot be maintained and continued with good faith in the age of democracy for this country. It would simply and merely lead to a repeat of Judeo-Syndicalist revitalization in Germany."

Privatization of State Industries

Several state industries within Germany would be immediately privatized to encourage competition, productivity and growth. He hoped to increase the weekly earnings of the country but, due to the tariffs from the Americas, it would be harder for consumer goods to be more common.

Rationing

The state, if they were to properly work with what they were given, would be forced to begin rationing consumer goods such as chicken, fruit and expensive clothing for most Germans while tariffs from Eastern Europe would slightly increase and begin. This is of course, simply for the mainland. The rationing would be alleviated thanks to Mittelafrikan Agricultural Goods, something that the Reichsfuhrer hoped to make the sole income and bread-earner for mainland Germany.

The End of All Social Welfare

It was first theorized in 1908 by the more left-winged parties and accepted before the Weltkrieg. Due to the economic situation following Black Monday, we must immediately end it. We must find it necessary to establish charitable institutions instead that further perpetuate the fallacy of the lazy and sloths and rather put it towards reputable organizations that further the goals of the DVLP. These organizations are meant for "German self-help" which will be diverted entirely towards Pan-German and supporters of the DVLP. Diverting the funds towards this will further assist our advertisement as well as our support base. It will not be given to any Non-German.

Military Industry

The DVLP believed in war as the primary engine of human progress, and argued that the purpose of a country’s economy should be to enable that country to fight and win wars of expansion. Despite the current situation, it is most dire and most necessary for our military industrial complex to be maintained along with our civilian industry and to maintain the military as the main supporters of the DVLP. Through this alone, we will be able to completely dominant the society.

Trade Unions

Due to their proximity towards Syndicalism, trade unions will not, upon any circumstance be tolerated in their current form. We, as the government, will begin to represent the working interests of the workers ourselves rather than allowing it to exist in the hands of these Syndicalist traitors. It is our hope that the corporations already existing within Germany will realize our relationship with them and remain within Germany. We are willing to make bailouts to all-German businesses.
