Panzerwagen Modell 30
Designed: 1931-1933
Produced: 1934-Present
The Modell-30's armored body was mounted on a modified 6 x 6 Opel Blitz truck chassis, maintaining its mobility and handling with its speed. The driver sits on the right side using an observation port protected by an armored shutter with a vision slit. The assistant driver sits on the left and yields a small vision port for his MG-34, mounted outwards.
It is mounted in a firing slit directly to his front. There are similar vision ports on both sides. The crew accesses the fighting compartment from a door in the rear of the vehicle. The gunner rests in a small, cylindrical turret with 360° versatility. It has an observation port in the front and vision slits on both sides and the rear. The turret had another MG-34 Machine Gun in a ball mount. Another machine gun was carried inside the vehicle. 4000 rounds were stored for the machine guns. The armor ranges between 3 to 6 mm (0.12 to 0.24 in) thick; this is well enough to deflect ordinary bullets fired from over 100 metres (110 yd) distance.

Sturmpanzerwagen II: Ozelot Light Tank
The Sturmpanzerwagen II, while based upon the chassis of the Katzchen (Panzer I) is drastically different from its predecessor. Featuring much heavier armaments, armour, engine, and an entirely revamped transmission system, the Ozelot, while it certainly can go toe-to-toe with comparable vehicles, was designed as a stopgap while larger, more advanced tanks were to be developed, but the vehicle's comparable performance secured it in a place in the German War Machine.
