The FAUD

The Freie Arbeiterunion Deutschlands, or the Free Worker's Union of Germany, is an umbrella organization of several trade unions founded during the turbulent period in 1919 during the French Revolution. They have repeatedly denounced the Syndicalist terror and therefore been allowed to operate unimpeded until now, however our intelligence services have produced definite proof that their leaders are in contact with Syndicalist organizations in other nations, such as the CNT-FAI in Spain.

Those operating within Deustchland, as part of the FAUD as well as other Syndicalist-Parties (including most Socialist organizations within the Kaiserreich) have been banned. The leaders were also arrested and forced underground.

Bye-Bye Frenchies

Not only this, but also following the clear cut aggression from France, the formerly French controlled regions in Western Germany have, too, been unruly. For a long time in Germania, French Nationalism has been growing ever more prevalent. All Nationalist Parties, Movements, Organizations and Protests will be immediately banned within Germany.

Any French Nationalism within German Territory will be seen as divisive and dissenting. Syndicalist-sympathies will never reign in Germany. Although this could seem to increase tensions and radicalize the population, the increased recruitment of the Reichspolizei (Brownshirts) has gone up to 200,000. This is hardly enough.

Keeping the Peace

The Reichspolizei, under command of the DVLP, have becomine involved in street fights, called Zusammenstöße (collisions), with members of Nationalists and French Nationalists as well as general Syndicalist and their sympathizers. To assist the Reichspolizei, the German Military has added a Motor Corps for better mobility and a faster mustering of units. It also acquired an independent source of funds: royalties from its own Sturm Cigarette Company. Previously, the RP had been financially dependent on the party leadership, as it charged no membership fees; the RP will be recruiting particularly among the many unemployed in the economic crisis.

The RP will be using violence against shops and shopkeepers stocking competing cigarette brands; it also punishes any RP member caught with non-Sturm cigarettes. Sturm marketing was also used to make military service more appealing. Cigarettes are also being sold with collectible sets of images of historical German army uniforms.
