The Kaiser's Men
The soldiers in Germany stood at the Reichstag while the Kaiser deliberated inside. He had himself made an appearance in the Reichstag to deliver some large deliberations in Germany. It started with him delivering a speech on the status of the economy and the unemployment rate being low, standard politics that shifted into a shouting match between parliament.
It was rather swift when the Reichstag's Keeper of the Floor slammed their gavel to call for silence. Silence had not been called while members of the DVLP and the Centre Parties continued their shouting match.
The Keeper of the Floor slammed their gavel down several more times before announcing a mandatory recess. The shouting match continued while the Kaiser left along with most of those in the Reichstag leaving.
It was after a few minutes when the session was recalled, the Kaiser not returning while the "heckling members from the Zentrum und Deutsche Vaterlandspartei will not be allowed to return this session due to unparliamentary language."
The Dispersal from Parliament
"Damn Nationalists are at it again," Wilhelm said as he met with Kuno von Westarp and a few members of the Conservative Party. "Headaches is what they are." The Kaiser put on his top hat as the group stepped outside. "My Kaiser, are you sure you won't stay?" Westarp asked, the group tagging along for the few minutes while the Kaiser's automobile waited for him.
"Yes, quite sure. I've lost my patience for this afternoon, I'm off to retire Miss Lady Aug-..." He stopped himself, pausing. He remembered that his Late-Wife, Empress-Consort to the Kaiser Augusta-Victoria had long since passed. Had his memory been failing him? He recovered himself, maintaining a gentleman's stiff upper lip. Wilhelm turned to the gentlemen who were accompanying him out, looking at Westarp for a moment before heaving a sigh. "I came here as a formality, Sir Reichskanzler."
"Yes!" Westarp nodded enthusiastically. "You cannot keep yourself locked away, the people need to be reassured. This could spiral out-" Wilhelm raised his cane, shaking his head while adjusting his top-hat to make his way outside. "Need not continue. I came here as a formality and it has been extended. You can take care of the rest... if it comes to it, you can always just call Willy," he mumbled to the group, referring to the Crown-Prince.
Reichskanzler Westarp frowned as he tapped the gentlemen standing to his sides, gesturing them back inside. "My Kaiser!" Westarp yelled as Willy was making his way to his car. He turned around, his escort tagging along to hold the car door open for him.
"If something does happen... it could ruin us!" Westarp continued from the door.
Willy turned, taking off his top-hat to hand it to a soldier. He approached on his cane, leaning on it to lessen the pain in his leg. "It won't ruin us. We have recovered, we have endured. We always do!" Willy said, now standing at the bottom step of the Reichstag. Westarp grimaced, nodding before he returned indoors. Kaiser Wilhelm stood there for a few moments more, watching him retreat before he turned around, made his way back to his car and drove off.
Protests Outside the Reichstag
The DVLP's supporters marched outside of the Reichstag in protest and pickets some time after the Kaiser had left, denouncing the "Jewish Menace" ruling Germany's workers. "There is instability brewing in Germany, it will start at the very basic level of German farmers! The farms will be poisoned by the Menace! Then, the markets will lose their money- YOU!" A protester pointed at a passerby. "Are you prepared when The Menace comes after your family? Your profit?" The pedestrians carried on, as did the demonstration.
"Your beloved leaders will fail you! Trust only in your fellow Germans!" They shouted as people walked by with rude and insulting caricatures of foreigners on some of their pickets.
"The Jewish Menace only seek to utilize parliament as a stepping stone towards their socialism!" Was what one speaker shouted. Ernst Rรถhm, one staunch member of the party, watched this from a distance while the demonstration continued. He turned and walked away, pondering to himself some thoughts of his days as a Hauptmann in times since forgotten.
"What do you think, Ernie?" Asked the young man walking with him, aged roughly 23. "I don't know," he pondered as the two made their way to his home.
