Conflict starts with the Austrians managing to advanced into Hungarian territory, capturing Pozosny and making it to the Hungarians' secondary defensive line. On the other side, the lack of any Hungarian defenders allowed for Romania to reach Klausenburg, and retake most of Transylvania and Bukovina.

July

A stalemate between the Austrians and Hungarians, as the Polish and Ukrainian armies were invited by their respective native ethnicities in Galicia to protect them from the war in Austria Hungary. The Local Assembly in Polish Galicia voted itself for annexation into the Commonwealth.

The Sudeten people then rose up at the end of July, which caused the Bohemian government to intervene to crush the revolt. Austria invaded Bohemia to stop the intervention, and while they succeed militarily, it was a major political blunder as Bohemia declared independence as the Czech Republic.

In the south, the Italian forces managed to make small gains.

The Austrians failed to mobilise a large portion of their population due to the resistance to conscription. The Germans in Austria refuses to fight to keep the Habsburg realm. If the Hungarians are getting to be in the Hungarian state, why can't we be in the German state?

August

The Italian advance in Trieste was thwarted by the Austrian forces in the southern plains, however this left most of Slovenia dangerously exposed, which Illyria capitalised on, reaching Cilly and Laibach. The Austrian forces in the south face the risk of encirclement. With the foreign reserve running low, and having lost most of its resources, industry and agriculture as the constituent parts of the Empire rebelled, Habsburg legitimacy have been seriously tarnished. Advised by the Prime Minister, Emperor Karl I have announced, in a public statement, to be "stepping back from the politics of the Empire, and only remain as a guiding voice for the people". This is essentially an abdication of power from the part of the Habsburg Emperor, as the people indeed, demands peace.

Austrian delegations are now requesting for peace negotiations with all its constituents parts, and Italy.
