Following the collapse of DkP in the recent Reichstag elections as well as the surge in support that managed to break the DkP's control over the state of Prussia, the SDP with the support of its FVP allies centered around Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck, otherwise known as the 'Lion of Africa' have taken the initiative in reforming the Prussian state's voting system in line with the 1917 Easter Promises as stated by the Kaiser himself.

The SDP and FVP - receiving just over half of the seats in the Prussian Parliament would submit a series of bills aimed at reforming voting in Germany's larger constituent state. Stating that all Germans deserve the right to "universal, secret and equal franchise" the SDP were able to pass several bills dismantling the archaic and undemocratic voting system and replacing it with one more in line with the rest of the German Empire. While several members of the rightist opposition in Prussia lodged protests and tried to break the SDP-FVP coalition, it was too no avail. Democracy in Prussia, as well as the German Empire as a whole, has finally been achieved almost 20 years to the day after that fateful day in April of 1917.
