The Department of Mechanization and Motorization of the Commission for Modernization of the Russian Army has issued guidelines for improvements of the army's equipment in the field.

Tanks

The current T-19 tank design is based on models dating back to the Weltkrieg. These vehicles are small, and lightly armed. These will not be sufficient to support the armies of the Russian State in future conflicts. Developments are being made toward an updated model to be designated the T-26. This tank will have a larger 45mm main gun as well as improved armor and engine. As Russian infrastructure is limited in some areas, the tank must be able to cross 0.75-metre (2.5 ft)-high vertical obstacles and 2.1-metre (6.9 ft)-wide trenches, ford 0.8-metre (2.6 ft)-deep water obstacles, cut 33-centimetre (13 in)-thick trees, and climb 40° gradients.

Aircraft

Currently, our air service is operating with biplanes that, while effective against rebels unprepared to defend against aerial attack, will not be able to compete with aircraft of other nations' air services. Therefore the Russian State Air Service will be tasked with developing a new single winged aircraft along more modern designs. The I-28 will feature an improved 900hp engine, increased range of 800km, and the addition of two 12.7mm machine guns in addition to the two 7.62mm machine guns of the I-5. These enhancements will ensure that these planes will be better able to support Russian ground forces in a CAS and air-superiority capacity.

Anti-aircraft Arms

The rebellion has showed the army of the importance of air power, and highlighted the fact that Russia has little in the way of effective anti-aircraft armaments. Therefore a design for anti-aircraft guns was requested, resulting in the 37 mm automatic air defense gun 61-K. This design is based on naval anti-aircraft guns re-purposed for ground use. The platform will fire a 37mm shell at a rate of 160-170 rpm.
