Thatâs a great idea but I wouldnât say âusuallyâ. I have literally never seen one of those at the climbing centers Iâve been to.

Yeah smart idea. When I was climbing the auto belay was just clipped but no mat/tarp thing. I didnât use the auto belay routes much anyway because I never liked them and tbh they were only installed on routes that were too advanced for me.

This looks like an autobelay route. People can âforgetâ without deliberately violating a safety rule. Actually thatâs why regular training is usually required for anything where safety is important.
