I (39M) was on a 150 mg Bupropion/32.5 mg Venlafaxine combo for 4 years.

The good: it did wonders for my depression and anxiety after starting a new job. I thought after 5-6 months I'd found a life-changing combo that I might be able to depend on indefinitely.

The not-good: it KILLED my sex drive. I'm talking murdered it. Slowly at first, then it became so apparent that I didn't find sex or even self-play enjoyable or exciting. I also became a sweat monster, especially at night. I'm talking soaked sheets, even when the room was cool/cold. My wife loved that. (sarcasm). I also became muted on some other emotions too that I realized I needed and missed.

Did I mention I also gained 30 pounds over 1.5 years?

Four years in, after realizing I dreaded my wife asking for sex because of my lack of interest and ED issues in the bedroom I said enough is enough. I've now been weaning off Venlafaxine for the last 3 weeks to try taking Bupropion solo, because my PCP is pretty sure it was the Ven that was causing the majority of what I posted above.

If you are also taking this combo, please be aware of these side effects because they suck in a significant, life-altering way if you experience them. I'm hoping my brain and body can bounce back sooner rather than later.
