Fix oil canning

I know this isn't welding but someone here will be able to help me. Is it possible to fix a warped stainless steel, stamped lid as you would an oil canned panel, and with a propane torch? My research has been mixed with some saying progress from inside out, and some outside in. I'm not sure how much heat is needed for stainless and if I can reach it with a small propane torch. Does it need to be clamped somehow, quenched, or hammered?

Thanks in advance for your help.
