Post Body

I want to purchase my first MIG welder for hobbies and such, but also to work on a school bus project. I want to make sure that the machine is going to last and perform well.

I'm technically a beginner. I welded back in high school (roughly 15 years ago), and it was oxyacetylene, but I had a real knack for it. I was top of my class, and I loved it. I want to get back into it and do some fun projects.

I've come across this one in particular, and I was hoping someone here could let me know if this is a good first choice, or if I should pick something else.

Budget is preferably under $2,000 CAD.

TIA
