Let me Preface by saying that this doesn’t mean you can’t learn it. I teach high school, and man, some kids are just natural. I see it every day. Minimal guidance needed. And some kids need help along the way, and that’s ok. You can see it in their eyes when it just “clicks.” And some… well they just need about two to three times more time in the booth to be able to carry an arc. I’m lucky, I grew up around it. I learned on the job quickly, I feel like I had a natural knack for it. Is there a correlation between being a natural and having a pro longed career?
