Self employed rates for mechanical work.
Post Body

Iā€™ve been self employed working for my family owned business for the last 12 years doing mobile welding work/fabrication, Iā€™ve tried to keep my pricing competitive but I feel I donā€™t charge enough at 65/70hr for me to profit as much as Iā€™d like to grow my business. I get steady work at this price and am afraid that if I raise my rates Iā€™ll get less work, I know itā€™s not oil field welding so I know I canā€™t charge 100hr but Id like to be around 80/85hr, Iā€™m curious to what others charge for mechanical piping. I mainly do subcontracting work. From what Iā€™ve seen from the ā€œcompetitionā€ in Ohio our welds/work is far superior. Figured Iā€™d see what people here think before I go upsetting customers with rate increases lol. Thanks guys! šŸ‘ Added a couple of work pictures just to give an idea of what we are capable of.
