Will casein protein increase fat?

So I used to be a D1 track athlete but i'm a few years removed from that. I haven't worked out a ton the last two years but starting to get back into it. I have managed to stay pretty skinny and fit, minus the fact im starting to get a bit of a bloated stomach. Im wondering if on days I lift weights it would be helpful to drink casein protein before bed or if this will add to my gut? Appreciate the advice!
