Looking for advice because I think I need to tweak something
Post Body

40 M 6'1 204lbs

Historically I've been in and out of shape and played sports up through a couple years of college. Like a lot of people I kind of took time off from exercising altogether since March 2020.

I guess I'm trying to lose fat and not necessarily weight, but it's hard not to acknowledge the scale. I'm a vegetarian and eat pretty well anyways, but in 15 days I managed to gain a .5 lbs.

Here is what I've been doing...

  • Kept my calorie intake around or slightly below 1700 calories

  • I have a concept 2 rower and row intervals for 12 minutes twice a day

  • run for anywhere between 40 and 50 minutes every other day.

Now if I look in the mirror I swear I'm getting a little bit leaner... Which is kind of the goal right. But is it possible I'm gaining muscle faster to where I'm not losing any actual weight?

This confused is me cuz it's never really been a point of contention. I'd be open to suggestions on what others may think. Thanks all!
