Hey all, I've (M23) been on a diet and working out for close to 4 month now and I'm not losing any weight. I'm doing a simple calorie deficit while also going to the gym almost every day. In the first month and a half I dropped over 10 pounds but since then I seemed to have hit a wall. The weirder part is that I'm getting skinnier. The only thing I can think of is that I'm gaining pounds of muscle at the same rate that I'm losing fat but i feel like muscle is harder to put on than fat is to loose. Let me know if any of this makes sense and if you guys have any ideas for getting the number on the scale to go down.
And before anyone asks, yes I'm sticking to my diet and yes I'm going to the gym pretty much every day - 6 days a week. I'm doing mostly weight lifting and hiit about 3 times a week. Thanks for all the help in advance!
You kind of answered the question yourself. If your measurements are getting smaller then you’re gaining muscle while losing fat. You’ll probably start to lose pounds soon but I wouldn’t worry about it when you’re getting skinnier
