How to Start Eating Again to Avoid Regain?
Post Body

Hello all, I’ve struggled with a weight loss journey for a while. I lost 130lbs then got hit with a lot of personal issues and gained most of it back. This year I had lost 15lbs when I got hit with a severe depressive episode where I wouldn’t eat for days and when I did it would be something like a single chicken nugget. I lost an additional 20lbs from this episode. I know that’s not healthy and I know soon enough that will slow down as that’s happened to me before when I wasn’t in a depressive episode but was unknowingly under eating.

I’ve been slowly feeling better but I find that now I get full so quickly. I had a few bites of meat the other day, two chicken tenders another day, and both days I physically felt so stuffed. I’m not new to the weight loss game but I’ve never gone through this before. My BMR is around 2300.

I know very well that you need to eat to lose weight in a healthy way such as to avoid hair loss and brittle nails for example. I’m just struggling to have an appetite and when I do have one I struggle to eat enough, especially enough protein.

I’m worried that when I go back to eating a healthy amount I may regain as my body isn’t used to it anymore. I know I didn’t lose those 20lbs appropriately, but I also don’t want to regain and have to lose them all over again.

Can anyone provide advice on how to get back to proper eating but avoiding regain?
