26M. 225lbs. Goal weight around 160lbs.
Started my diet a few weeks ago. Higher protein intake, limited to 1600-2000cal per day except on weekends. I am a fairly active individual as a mechanic and I walk an extra 1-2 miles in the evening with my dog on most days. Weeks are pretty active too walking around with friends and swimming. Trying to achieve 10k-15k steps per day. Using myfitnesspal and samsung heath to track these figures.
Even with all of this over the course of roughly 3 weeks, I have seen zero progress. In fact I've gained a few pounds going from 220 to 225 as of this morning. Natutally, I'm extremely frustrated. I am taking a few medications and maybe those are holding the weight on? Maybe my anxiety is holding the weight on? I'm lost at this point.
The last time I tried doing a similar diet but with shitter foods and less exercise I was able to drop down below 200 but lost sight of my goal and gained it all back. This was about a year or so ago. Any advice?
